Colt Winchester

Sam couldn't help the small smile. These two reminded him so much of him and Dean. To see they way they took care of each other. He also couldn't blame the boy; after all. They'd apparently ran into some messed up versions of him and Dean. It freaked Sam out to think all these alternate selves were running around free.

"I completely understand; we're not going to hurt either of you. We just want to help"

Colt carefully took one of her hands. "You know she's going to be a total baby, I can feel she has a fever already, probably was out in the rain too long."

He didn't try to wake her, from what he had been told, and now what he was seeing, she needed the rest.

"Thanks... For taking care of her. I, I wouldn't have been able to. At least not without having security at the hotel we were at thinking something was wrong."

Sam walked over to his pack when Colt mentioned Cassie having a fever. Grabbing out some medical supplies he tossed them over. "We'll just make her rest; take some of that and she should get better."

Sam simply smiled at Colt "No need to thank me; still getting used to this I have kids in the future thing. But--still means you two are family. Family takes care of family."

Colt nodded catching the supplies. "I'll wait until she wakes before making her take anything."

Colt looked down a moment. "Yeah... Don't worry I'm not going to run off." Though his eyes showed his anger at the situation. Cassie had gotten banged up, and he had been entrusted to keep her safe. Great job he was doing of it.

"I'll get a cool rag for her forehead" Sam says as he steps over towards the small bathroom. But Sam caught that look in Colt's eye. It's the same look Dean gets when something happens to Sam.

He goes and gets the rag; then comes back and places a hand over Colt's shoulder holding it out. "Y'know, she didn't want to call you because she didn't want to get you involved. She didn't want you hurt; you're a good brother Colt."

Colt took the rag from him dabbing at her brow a little before resting it there.

"Yeah, well she keeps it up she'll make me think I"m a really bad one." He sighed. "Learned how to be a big brother from Dean really. He and Dad, they wouldn't ease up on me because they said I had to protect her. I mean yeah, I let her have her own life, and it was a little easier with Aunt Trin around but..."

"Don't, I did alot of dumb things too. Despite Dean's best efforts to protect me. He was and is a great brother. Just like I am sure you are to Cassie." Sam gave Colt's shoulder a squeeze. He couldn't help but honestly believe the both of them

It was like watching him and Dean the way they were about each other. Not to mention; the things they claimed their Dad and Uncle had taught them Or said and did. It really did sound just like himself and Dean

Cassie stirred, she could hear her dad and Colt talking. Tensing she bit her lip slowly opening her eyes, because she knew Dad was missing, and the the...

No, there was another one that brought me out of the rain. Colt's probably talking to him. She felt Colt's hand fall on her shoulder and looked up at her twin. Relaxing she attempted to sit up, only to have him press her down again.

"How long was I out?"

"Probably two or three hours, and you're lucky your sick or I'd kick your ass for that stunt Cass. I told you to stay away from that Sam." He sighed.

"And if I was so great I would have been able to keep her away from him. We're twins. I should have known she was in trouble sooner. Isn't that how it goes with 'em?" He was only acting that way because he was frustrated. He felt Cassie grab his hand and looked at her.

"Fine, I'll behave."

Sam just stood quietly for a moment studying both of them thoughtfully. "I think you two have got the sibling thing right. Could be me and Dean sitting there. You've nothing to worry about. I'll let you in on a secret, I didn't listen to Dean a whole lot either."

Sam moves over and presses a hand to Cassie's forehead. "Still warm, Colt get her the medicine so we can break the fever as soon as possible" Sam turns and walks over to grab a bottle of water. He thinks for a moment and looks back at Colt "Have you ate?"

Cassie looked at Sam then her brother. "Twenty minutes apart and really... I'm nothing like Uncle Dean." She so pouted and sighed when Colt obeyed Sam getting the medicine for her.

"Yeah I ate at the pub." Okay so he nibbled at a cheese burger, but that was it. "Hey, there's a store just down the street, I can go get some things. And yeah I'll be there and back, I'd rather Cass wasn't left alone again."

"And I know that health food crap for you Cass. Guessing you're like Dad and wouldn't want normal food either?"

"Sounds to me you're like Dean, but yeah you're right. I'll take something healthy. Here." he had a small amount of cash on him for once. So he hands it to Colt "My treat."

Sam sat on the bed next to Cassie when she sighed over the medicine. He was gentle when he smoothed her hair back from her face. He couldn't fight that he did feel a paternal bound to these two. It was strange to have happen. "I know, medicine sucks, but I don't know how long you were in the rain for. And you seem to still be feverish, it's what's best."

"What can I say, Uncle Dean was my role model. We'd go hunting when you took her to ballet." He chuckled a little.

"Just rest a little more Cass, figure he took the time to come find me and take care of you he's better than Not!Dad." Colt flashed her a grin and grabbed his jacket from where he had tossed it. "Be back in a flash."

"Yeah and looks who gets their ass kicked more. Dance classes helped keep me limber Colt." She smirked a little at him as he walked out the door and struggled to sit up. She needed to get up at least a little.

"You're not the only one. Last I remember before that alley was being in a house somewhere. I think they sent me here to get me away from them because I wouldn't conform to their plans."

Sam laughed, the image of him taking his daughter to ballet and Dean taking his son hunting. It was a normal life or as close as the Winchesters could get; as it seemed the darker side of it still followed them. Hunting really had ended up being the family business. "You can tell, I have to say I'm proud of your Uncle. Even if he's not specifically my brother. He did a good job."

Sam looked at Cassie as she spoke. His face took on a slight sad, concerned expression " I know it might be hard, but I need you to tell me just what their plans are. If we're going to stop them"

Cassie nodded. "Actually, started out them actually going deer hunting and fishing, then we got dragged along for real hunts. Uncle Dean... He's so much like your brother. Though there was a softness about my uncle that I don't see with yours."

When she asked about the plans she bit her lip pulling her legs up to wrap her arms around them.

"I only caught little glimpses they wouldn't tell me, but... Even though Dad and Dean didn't want me using my powers... I learned to use them without the blood. Only Colt ever saw." She traced patterns, magic sigils on the blanket. "The three of them, Lucifer as well are planning to do something, it's not... At first I thought it was a war, but it's not. It's not a full out gates breaking kind of thing. But, there will be soldiers released." She closed her eyes trying to pull up what she had seen. "There... was... The town was abandoned. There was a lot of emotional residue there though... Ghosts that couldn't rest." She was worrying her lip as she spoke.

"Damn it I wish I could have caught things in order." She didn't look up. "I'm sorry I can't remember the exact plans. I know I've seen the town before too. It wasn't a western one. This... It looked like it was a small city nineteen fifties... the cars looked that old, though all smashed out."

Sam listened with a smile while she spoke about her dad and Uncle. "It sounds like a good life, despite the turmoil. Just remember to hold on to the good times." He paused when she mentioned the softness in Dean. "Y'know, it probably had something to do with you two. I'm betting."

Sam took note of everything she related to him. When he saw how worried she was over not remembering exactly he wrapped a comforting arm around her shoulder. Giving a light squeeze Sam kissed her temple. "You did great, better then anyone could have wanted. We've figured these things out on less. And if I can, we'll save your dad and Uncle too. I wouldn't count them down and out, just yet. But something has to be keeping them from coming back." Maybe a part of Sam needed to believe that. That the him these kids knew as their dad would return.

"Colt's not affected by the demon blood. Dad and Dean tested us, it's why Colt's so protective. I'm affected, but he's immune." She bit her lip.

She gave a nod. "Usually I can pull off more. Like exact locations and dates." She did turn to give him a hug. "I'm sure we'll find Dad and my uncle. I think I'd know if they were really dead. I mean these visions I have would have told me right?"

"I'm sorry." it was all he could say; her genes were his genes. He couldn't change that fact, at all. And that meant her weakness to the demon blood was his fault. Now it had been exploited, even worse then it had been in Sam. He'd been willing to do the things he'd done. Cassie hadn't. He'd make sure these jackasses paid for what they did. He gave her shoulder a reassuring pat before he went to his laptop and began to research.

"What you gave me is good enough, we'll find them. Count on it." He began to punch keys on the laptop. Looking for something, anything to make sure he found these two. He had to stop them and a vibe told Sam; where he found these other versions of himself and Dean. He'd find Cassie and Colt's father and Uncle.
